Overview
High-quality research and frontline experience do not automatically translate into practice and impact. Turning research evidence and organisational experience and lessons into accessible and practice-informed communication is an essential skill to inform and improve sector standards.
This course aims to strengthen participants’ ability to convert research findings, frontline service data and organisational experience into clear, compelling outputs tailored to decision-makers, funders and standards-setting bodies. It seeks to strengthen participants’ capacity to craft strategy and impact statements and translate service trends into evidence-informed recommendations, engage media responsibly and communicate across academic, statutory and third sector environments.
The course also supports frontline organisations to identify patterns emerging from their service provision—such as recurring risk factors, barriers to access or systemic gaps—and translate these into relevant strategic insights and messages for action. Participants develop practical skills in stakeholder mapping, message framing and strategic dissemination, ensuring that lived realities and service-based evidence inform wider structural change.
Our unique value: This training integrates research translation with cultural and contextual awareness, ensuring communication strategies are ethically grounded, audience-specific and responsive to complex migration, religion and violence-related environments.
